01: ISYS Launches 2009 Enterprise Access Suite

ISYS Search Software today introduced its new 2009 Enterprise Access Suite by officially launching its ISYS Anywhere mobile enterprise search server.  As a whole, the 2009 Enterprise Access Suite is comprised of a core set of embedded search and infrastructure solutions for information access, management and reuse.  ISYS Anywhere specifically addresses the common pain of the mobile workforce … namely all the tools for conducting work remotely EXCEPT for the ability to search and retrieve key data from the field.

ISYS Anywhere is especially signficant as it merges all content repositories (from locally stored information to server data) into a single point of access.  This includes the ability to search email, individual PCs, business applications and more from a Blackberry, iPhone or any browser-enabled device.  Alternate solutions to date have addressed either desktop data or server content, but not both.

02: ISYS Positioned as a Challenger

Today we announced that ISYS has been positioned as a Challenger in Gartner’s 2009 Magic Quadrant for Information Access Technology.  As you might be aware, the Magic Quadrant is one methodology Gartner uses to classify players in a market.  A large number of organizations worldwide place a lot of importance on reports such as these, so we take great pride in being listed among the 12 vendors that Gartner considers either a Challenger or Leader in Information Access Technology.

04: Reveal Taps ISYS For Embedded Search

We have the good fortune to work with a number of great companies operating in the legal industry.  Reveal, an end-to-end e-discovery solutions provider, is the latest to come on board, and we’re excited to be working with them on their hosted e-discovery review platform.

06: Lucid Imagination Taps ISYS For Document Filters

Earlier in the year we introduced you to the new member of our family of embedded search and access solutions:  ISYS File Readers.  Today we are pleased to update you on one of our first ISYS File Readers partners:  Lucid Imagination.  We’re particularly excited about this partnership, as anyone who is following search knows the serious “street cred” Lucid Imagination has been garnering as of late.

07: ISYS Releases New OEM Search Solution

The ISYS Dev Team strikes again with its second major release of 2009 — ISYS:sdk 9.  Designed to provide OEMs and ISVs with best-in-class integrated search solutions, the new ISYS:sdk delivers significantly enhanced power and scalability, de-duplication, parametric search and more.  There’s no question that OEM search activity is heating up, and we’ll be posting some of our most recent wins in the coming weeks.  In the meantime, we invite you to read the ISYS:sdk 9 press release.

08: ISYS Powers EMC’s SourceOne archive indexing

Our partner EMC recently announced its new data archiving platform, SourceOne. EMC says the new architecture is designed to meet today’s pressing e-discovery and compliance needs. ISYS is pleased to play a key role in this new solution, providing an OEM search solution that serves as the backbone indexing and query engine for archived data. 09: Ovum: ISYS Breaking the Duopoly

We’re pleased to announce the release of the newest addition to our family of OEM search solutions — ISYS File Readers.  The ISYS File Readers are an embeddable set of document filters for extracting text and metadata from more than 200 file, email and container formats, in 60 different languages.  ISYS File Readers compete with similar products from Oracle (Outside In) and Autonomy (KeyView).  ISYS File Readers provide information management software vendors and companies relying on Apache Lucene with a powerful and proven document filter alternative.

10: Searching Google Patents With ISYS

We recently partnered with ArnoldIT on a demonstration site that enables visitors to search 10 years of Google Patents using the ISYS:web search solution for enterprise search, intranet search and site search.  ArnoldIT officially announced the new site today.  For the Google Patent Search demonstration site, we unlocked a handful of advanced search, discovery and mining capabilities (what Steve Arnold refers to as “beyond search” functions).  These include: parametric search; context clouds; intelligent query expansion; auto-classification; ISYS Entities; and metadata refinement.
